Welcome to Dysfunction!

I get it, life sucks. You haven’t showered in a week, the laundry is piling up, your son is begging for food, and you just can’t bring yourself to stop your daughter from shaving the cat again. It’s okay, we’ve all been there… well, maybe not the cat shaving but you get the idea.

It’s super hard to get through life and do what you need to do when your being weighed down by your own mind. How can you get the house clean if even the thought of getting out of bed is draining? And how do you explain to the world that you’re not lazy, just unbelievably tired? That’s where we come in.

You’re not completely alone.

One of the few things that has gotten me through the past 27 years is knowing that I have a support group out there who understands exactly what I’m going through. Sadly, I’m one of the lucky ones. It’s really hard to find people in the world that you can openly talk to about your problems and that really understand what you’re going through. A lack of support actually makes depression and other mental health problems a thousand times worse!

Because of this I decided to do what I can to create a small space of understanding for those of us who need it, as well as a way to educate those of us who have no idea what’s going on! Through my blog posts and podcast episodes I hope to reach those who thought they were unreachable. To give some moral support to those of us who don’t feel safe speaking out and asking for help. I want everyone to know that they are not alone in how they feel and that there is a way out of this madness.
